We inspect the exterior wall covering, flashings and trim. We go on to inspect all exterior doors, attached decks, balconies, stoops, steps, porches, and associated railings the eaves, soffits, and fascias. The vegetation, grading, surface drainage, and retaining walls on the property will be evaluated when any of these are likely to adversely affect the building, walkways, patios, and driveways leading to dwelling entrances.

Throughout the interior and garage we inspect the walls, ceilings, floors, steps, stairways, and railings. Also inspected are the countertops and cabinets. We will inspect function and condition of doors and windows. Garage doors and garage door operators will be inspected.

Heating and cooling systems are also costly to replace and important. We inspect the installed heating equipment, vent systems, flues and chimneys. We will also determine heating equipment energy source. Also inspected are central and through-wall cooling systems and equipment.

We inspect the structural components including foundations and framing We inspect finished basement space, crawlspaces and unfinished areas.

Many foundations in Connecticut have failed due to a crumbling foundation problem. We have a full understanding of the problem and will explain this issue to you and inspect the foundation accordingly.
